Missing Teeth Options

Single Missing Tooth

Individual implants are used to replace single missing teeth, and options such as our new mini and midi implants are a good choice for those with otherwise healthy mouths.

Multiple Missing Teeth

Depending on the number of missing teeth, you may wish to opt for multiple single implants or, if your ‘gaps’ are close together, a dental implant bridge might prove a more comfortable and affordable solution.

Full Set of Teeth

There are several options for cases in which a full arch is missing. Dental implant bridges can work well, and for this, we would usually recommend the excellent All-on-4 technique.

Neill embarked on his dentistry career in 1996 when he qualified from Bristol University. Ever passionate about growing his knowledge and experience, Neill has spent two years in hospital posts following completion of his initial training before spending several years in NHS practice.

Neill transitioned into private practice in West Yorkshire in 2007 in order to gain experience in a greater range of dental and cosmetic treatments. From 2008 to 2011, he returned, part-time, to hospital practice, as a paediatric dentist at the Charles Clifford Dental School in Sheffield. Following which, he served part-time as a Speciality Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

In 2015, Neill purchased his current practice from a retiring dentist, and he has been happily caring for the dental treatment needs of those in Skircoat Green and Halifax ever since.
‍
Neill believes that continuing education is the key to providing his patients with the best and latest in dental treatment, so he remains committed to his growth as a dental professional. To this end, Neill has completed an MSc in Dental Implantology with distinction at Salford University.

In his spare time outside the practice, Neill enjoys spending time with his family and photographing landscapes.

Just had my 5th check up with Bilal & Jenny after 2 years being with the practice. Really good as usual, I came to them after a long time not seeing a dentist (30 years +!) and there was no judgement whatsoever and I needn’t have worried. If in doubt or embarrassed about how long you’ve not seen a dentist I wouldn’t be, these guys will look after you.
Because of a previous medical condition affecting my face I am nervous of visiting the dentist but I broke a tooth so it had to be done. I had already decided to move away from my previous (NHS) dentist because of the perfunctory service I’d experienced in the past few years, where I felt like they couldn’t turn patients round fast enough. I followed the great reviews to Skircoat where I was quickly given an appointment with Neill. My first consultation was really thorough and everything was explained very clearly. Neill cleaned my teeth and went through my x-rays with me. Obviously it was more expensive than an NHS treatment but it was honestly worth it, more so because it was all pain-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Skircoat Green Dental Surgery.
ABSOLUTELY T H E best Dentist experience I have EVER had. From childhood trauma that has never left me in over 50 years these two visits across two days , I think, will get me over any trauma I may have had. Neil was a very professional, kind, considerate and gentle dentist who handled a very scared me absolutely perfectly. I hadn't been to any dentist since lockdown ( simply too petrified) but due to an intermittent chronic toothache across a few months something had to be done. I felt NO PAIN whatsoever ( even the 2 x dreaded injections weren't even a scratch !!!! ) and the extraction was done without me realising it had happened.I WILL go back to see Neil and his team and I'm so much happier now knowing my teeth are in the best, really...the BEST of hands.Superb Dental Nurse Oliver and also a very sympathetic and polite blonde receptionist ( sorry, didn't get your name ) who was also a credit to this business.

Have been a patient here for many years and couldn’t recommend the practice enough! From routine to emergency appointments there is always help and support available and friendly and approachable dentists like Bilal take some of the phobia away from going to the dentist !

I have attended this dental practice for nearly 30 years. It has provided outstanding care to me and my family. Over the last couple of years I have been looked after by Dental Surgeon Bilal Hussain. He is friendly and puts u at ease. He always undertakes a thorough clinical assessment each visit, explains the outcomes and treatment plan if required. He involves u at every stage of process. I had a tooth filled one time and it was almost painless. I recommend him to you.
People are friendly at Skircoat Green Dental. Appointments are on time and not rushed. I went for a routine check up. Bilal is very thorough and explains what he's checking for. You are treated as an individual at this Practice.

I have had an excellent experience since my initial consultation in December 2025 right up until my latest treatment in early February. I've been seen to quickly, having 3/4 treatments in 2 months. From the welcoming reception to the treatments and the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. I was particularly impressed by the work Sahdia and Karen did for my composite veneers, they look great and have made a huge difference. I have been expertly looked after by Dentist Bilau. He made me feel at ease and explained clearly what he was going to do. I had a couple of complex issues with an obturator in my mouth which he resolved without me having to be referred back to the hospital. He followed up the treatment with phone calls to check how I was doing. I would 100% recommend him and the practice.

Having not been able to see an NHS dentist for many years, I signed up to SGDP, for myself and my sons. Many changes have happened since then on both sides, but the service has never failed to be spot on, at a time and date to suit me and my family. Staff are well mannered, knowledgeable and always ready to offer help & guidance. Facilities are second to none, even if parking is a nightmare currently with the hospital parking issues, causing overspill in the nearby streets. Dentist to recommend ! Tracy Butterworth
